Description: This dataset represents drought conditions summarised at local municipality level, intended for planning, prioritisation, and reporting within disaster management and climate risk contexts.Local municipality boundaries were sourced from the national municipal boundary datasets maintained and updated through multiple redetermination cycles (2009–2016). The final municipal layer was joined with zonal drought statistics derived from a reclassified drought raster, providing municipality‑level drought indicators based on spatial aggregation.The dataset supports comparison of relative drought severity between municipalities and enables integration with socio‑economic, agricultural, and infrastructure datasets.This is a screening‑level analytical product and does not represent real‑time drought conditions.
